| West Shore United Boys at Cherry Blossom Tournament |
The West Shore United Boys traveled to Washington DC the first weekend of April to take part in the prestigious Cherry Blossom Tournament after their convincing 52-8 victory over Warwick in EPRU league play on Thursday, March 31. West Shore would win their pool by defeating two strong Canadian sides.
In their first match, West Shore defeated Banting Memorial Secondary School 8-6 on a penalty kick by Aaron Skonecki on the last play of the match. In their second match in pool play West Shore defeated Ridley College Prep Academy 24-7 to clinch first place in their pool, earning them a birth in the semi-finals against yet another Canadian side, Innisdale Secondary School. |
